Why Firestop Carolinas, Inc.?

 

Firestop Carolinas, Inc. was formed and incorporated in 1998 by Mike and Pam Wellons and is certified by both the NC Historically Underutilized Businesses and the Charlotte Woman-Owned Business associations. Firestop Carolina’s Inc. is a Factory Mutual 4991 Approved Contractor.

Mike Wellons attended the University of South Carolina, graduating with a BS in Structural Engineering and received his Professional Engineering Registration in 1977. Firestop Carolina’s Inc. was founded in 1998 to address the growing need for firestopping solutions in the Carolinas. Mike handles Sales and Estimating for the company.

Pam Wellons holds a BS in Nursing and has worked extensively in the Carolina HealthCare system. In 2001 Pam became majority owner and was named President of Firestop Carolina’s Inc. In 2001 Pam joined Firestop Carolina’s Inc. full time. She oversees production and administration.

Firestop Carolinas, Inc. now has 30 full time employees fulfilling firestopping needs in all of North and South Carolina. Our clients consist of General Contractors, MEP Trades, Masonry and Drywall Contractors, Cabling and Computer Companies, Owners and recently the US Navy.
